Philadelphia, Pa. native, Robert Landham (saxophone), and Newark, N.J. native, Darryl Smith (guitar) first met like alot of musicians meet, working opposite each other in different bands. Robert was leading a straight-ahead jazz quartet and Darryl was playing in a jazz-funk band. As chance would happen in New York, they found themselves playing together a year later in a cabaret band. Then a few months later, Darryl hired Robert to play a solo on the Donny Hathaway classic "This Christmas" which Darryl was producing for the Boys Choir of Harlem. A few months after that, Darryl was preparing to do a guitar record when the idea occurred to him to fatten the whole project up and add a sax. Thus, in the year, 2008, Madd Flow was born. Their debut CD release is entitled, "Dawn Of A New Day".......
